Bovine

Herd Health Management

We develop customized herd health programs designed to maximize productivity and minimize disease risk. From scheduled vaccinations and deworming to nutrition consultation and reproductive management, we partner with you to keep your herd performing at its best year-round.

Brucellosis Vaccination

We provide official Bangs (Brucellosis) vaccinations for heifers as required by state and federal regulations. Our team ensures all documentation and ear tags are properly administered and recorded to keep you in compliance.

Brucellosis & Trich Testing

We perform state-required Brucellosis and Trichomoniasis (Trich) testing for bulls and cattle involved in interstate movement, sale, or breeding programs. Accurate testing helps protect the health of your herd and is essential for regulatory compliance.

Breeding Soundness Evaluation

Our breeding soundness exams (BSE) evaluate bulls for physical soundness, semen quality, and overall reproductive health. A passing BSE helps confirm your bull is ready for the breeding season and gives you confidence in your investment.

Tuberculosis & BVD Testing

We conduct official Tuberculosis (TB) testing as well as testing for Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD) — two diseases that can have serious impacts on herd health and interstate movement. Testing is available for individual animals or whole-herd compliance needs.

Palpation

Rectal palpation is a reliable method for pregnancy detection and reproductive evaluation in cattle. Our experienced team provides accurate pregnancy checks to help you make informed decisions about your herd’s reproductive cycle and culling program.

Dystocia: Pulls & C-Section

When a cow or heifer is struggling to deliver, time is critical. We provide hands-on assistance for difficult births, including manual corrections and delivery assistance (pulls), as well as cesarean sections when necessary to save both the cow and calf.

Ultrasound

Diagnostic ultrasound is used for early pregnancy detection, fetal aging, determination of fetal sex, and reproductive tract evaluations. Ultrasound allows for faster, more accurate herd management decisions compared to traditional palpation alone.

Health Papers

We issue official veterinary health certificates for cattle being transported across state lines or sold through certain markets. Our team is familiar with the requirements of surrounding states to make sure your paperwork is accurate and accepted.

Lameness

We offer artificial insemination (AI) services and embryo transfer (ET) programs to help producers improve genetics and maximize the reproductive potential of their best cows. We work with your existing protocols or help you develop a new program.

Heat Synch Protocols

Synchronization of estrus allows producers to breed groups of cows or heifers at a scheduled time, making AI programs more efficient. We administer and manage heat synch protocols tailored to your herd size, breed, and production goals.

Internal Medicine

From respiratory illness and digestive disorders to metabolic conditions and toxic ingestion, we diagnose and treat a wide range of internal medical conditions in cattle. We use in-house diagnostics and our clinical experience to get to the root of the problem quickly.

Emergency Trauma

Accidents happen on the farm. We respond to emergency trauma cases including lacerations, wire cuts, broken limbs, and other injuries that require immediate veterinary attention.

Farm Calls

We come to you. Our veterinarians make farm calls throughout Erath County and surrounding areas, bringing professional veterinary care directly to your operation — saving you the time and stress of hauling animals.

In-House Diagnostics

Our clinic is equipped with in-house diagnostic tools including bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, and more. Faster results mean faster treatment decisions, keeping your animals on the path to recovery without unnecessary delays.

Equine

Preventative Medicine: Vaccination Protocols & Coggins Testing

We provide comprehensive equine vaccination programs tailored to your horse’s age, lifestyle, and risk exposure — including core vaccines such as West Nile, Eastern/Western Encephalomyelitis, Tetanus, and Rabies, as well as risk-based vaccines. We also perform official Coggins (EIA) testing required for travel, shows, and sales.

Surgery: All Types (With the Exception of Colic Surgery)

Our veterinarians perform a wide range of equine surgical procedures including castrations, wound repairs, mass removals, and more. While we do not perform colic surgery, we are equipped to handle most other surgical needs your horse may have.

Medical Colic Treatment

Colic is one of the most common and serious conditions in horses. We provide prompt medical evaluation and treatment for horses presenting with signs of colic, including pain management, nasogastric intubation, fluid therapy, and monitoring — with referral for surgical cases when necessary.

Ultrasound

Equine ultrasound is a valuable diagnostic tool used for reproductive evaluations, tendon and ligament assessment, and internal organ examination. Whether you’re managing a breeding program or investigating a performance issue, ultrasound gives us a detailed look without invasive procedures.
